Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe set up / operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Utilize calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy of dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform basic programming of CNC machines as needed for specific projects.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Experience
- MasterCam or CNC mill experience a plus.
- Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or in a similar machining role is preferred.
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is advantageous.
- Basic math skills are essential for calculating measurements and adjustments.
- A strong understanding of machining processes is necessary.
