Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Machinery Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience working with industrial or commercial equipment who takes pride in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and keeping machinery running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on a variety of machinery and equipment
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Replace or repair defective parts, components, or systems
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic working with machinery or heavy equipment
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in mechanical or industrial maintenance (a plus)
- Experience with forklifts, construction equipment, manufacturing machines
- Welding or fabrication experience (optional but beneficial)
Work Environment
- May require lifting heavy equipment and working in various conditions (indoors/outdoors)
- Standing, bending, and working with tools for extended periods
