Position Summary:
We are looking for someone who takes pride in making properties look clean, sharp, and dialed in. This role is for a person who genuinely enjoys mulching, pruning, weeding, and detailed landscape work, not just someone looking to “help out.” You will lead a small crew (1–2 team members) and be responsible for maintaining high-end residential properties with a strong focus on detail, efficiency, and consistency. If you’re the type of person who notices crooked edges, overgrown shrubs, or messy beds and wants to fix it the right way this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a 1–2-person crew for bed maintenance and cleanup projects
- Perform and oversee:
- Mulching (proper depth, clean edges, no mess left behind)
- Pruning and shaping shrubs correctly based on plant type
- Weed removal and long-term bed maintenance
- Bed edging and redefining clean lines
- Seasonal cleanups (leaf removal, cutbacks, property resets)
- Ensure every property is left looking clean, polished, and professional
- Train crew members on quality standards and proper techniques
- Work efficiently to meet time budgets without sacrificing quality
- Communicate with management about job progress, issues, or opportunities
- Load/unload materials (mulch, debris) and operate trucks/trailers
- Maintain and care for equipment daily
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who enjoys detail work and takes pride in clean results
- Experience with pruning, plant care, and bed maintenance preferred
- Ability to lead and hold 1–2 team members accountable
- Strong work ethic—this is physical, outdoor work
- Reliable and consistent (no callouts, no showing up late)
- Ability to move with purpose and stay efficient throughout the day
- Willingness to correct work if it doesn’t meet standards
Ideal Candidate:
- Notices the small details others miss
- Gets satisfaction from clean edges, sharp lines, and well-shaped plants
- Naturally takes ownership of their work and their crew
- Can balance quality + speed (not just one or the other)
- Wants to grow into a bigger role as the division expands
Why This Role Matters:
This is currently one of the most important areas of our business to improve. The right person in this role will have a direct impact on client satisfaction, referrals, and overall company growth.
