Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, assembling ingredients, and portioning to meet recipe specifications.
- Support banquet and catering events by preparing dishes, setting up serving stations, and ensuring timely delivery of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including counters, utensils, equipment, and storage spaces, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Buss tables by clearing dishes, resetting service areas, and ensuring a tidy dining environment for guests.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Support kitchen staff with cooking duties as needed, including basic cooking tasks under supervision.
- Assist with food inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock levels.
- Contribute to excellent food service by serving guests promptly and courteously during meal periods or special events.
- Participate in cleaning routines such as sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing kitchen surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods or large-scale events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, catering, or hospitality is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques such as chopping, mixing, or assembling ingredients.
- Experience working in banquet settings or hotel kitchens is a plus.
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting moderate weights.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively during busy service times.
