Job Overview
The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling various safety products according to work instructions and quality standards. This role is essential for supporting production goals and maintaining a high level of product quality.
Duties
- Assemble components according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools (as trained) to perform assembly tasks.
- Perform basic quality checks on assembled components.
- Identify and report any defects or discrepancies to the manager.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate safety equipment.
- Participate in team meetings and receive training as needed.
- Assist with other production tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read and follow instructions.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
- May involve exposure to noise, dust, and other environmental factors.
- May require working in various areas of the production facility.
