Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Lead and motivate the serving team to deliver outstanding guest service in a lively, upscale environment
- Coordinate table assignments, reservations, and seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of sales transactions using POS systems.
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with food industry regulations
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members on service procedures, POS operation, and customer relations
- Assist with food preparation, beverage service, and bussing as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or upscale hospitality
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest rapport quickly
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred; familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience as a Lead Server or similar role preferred
- Ability to handle multiple priorities confidently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Weekend and Holliday availibilioty.
