The ideal candidate will have experience: teaching all levels of high school Math, successfully managing a high school classroom, communicating with students and parents, and an understanding of adolescent needs. The ideal, and highly qualified candidate will: hold a bachelors degree in Math or similar and will have completed a teacher preparation program, and be eligible for teacher certification.
The ideal candidate will also be an outgoing, innovative professional with exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS AND REQUIREMENTS: A deep appreciation for the Catholic faith, the School mission, its achievements, aspirations, and contributions.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.A skilled communicator both oral and written; experience communicating clearly with parents/guardians.Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred; relevant teaching experience required. Be eligible for a State of Massachusetts (or equivalent) teaching certification.Prepared to teach all levels of high school Math - possibly including AP courses.Skill and confidence to use technology throughout lessons and for assessments.Collegiality and willingness to bond with department members and all faculty and staff to increase rigor and best practices.Willingness to become involved in all aspects of the school, including co-curricular activities desired.Willingness to train in order to teach AP level classesCOMPENSATION: TO APPLY: Commensurate with education and experience1.
