Prep/Line Cook — The Booch House

The Booch House is New Jersey's first Kombucharie™ — a kombucha brewery and tapas bistro hybrid, pairing our Designbrewed™ Bahda Booch kombucha with nutrient-dense, Nutritious-Delicious™ small plates. Since opening, we've been building something genuinely different in the local food scene, and we're looking for a Prep/Line Cook ready to grow with us.
The Role
You'll work alongside Chef Marco to bring our culinary concept to life — prepping, plating, and executing our tapas menu with consistency and care. This is a kitchen where craft matters: every dish is built to complement what's fermenting a few feet away.
You'll also get hands-on exposure to our kombucha production, helping prep, blend, and filter the juices that go into Bahda Booch batches — a rare chance to learn brewing alongside cooking.
What You'll Do
- Execute prep and line duties during service with speed and consistency
- Follow recipes and plating standards to maintain quality across every dish
- Assist with juice prep, blending, and filtering for kombucha production
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen station
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff during service
What We're Looking For
- Prior line cook or kitchen experience
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during service
- Interest in fermentation, prep-forward cooking, or scratch kitchens a plus
- A team-first attitude and willingness to learn our process
- Reliable availability, including evenings/weekends

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
