Position Overview
- Hornet Transport North, Inc. is seeking professional, safety-minded Class A CDL drivers with a doubles endorsement. - Reliable Schedules: Know your schedule ahead of time with consistent 5-day work weeks. Nightly dispatch is approximately 9:30 PM.
- Choose from two dedicated schedules:
- Option 1: Tuesday through Saturday
- Option 2: Sunday through Thursday
- Dedicated Routes (Home Daily)You will be running dedicated, consistent overnight linehaul routes starting and ending in the Pittsburgh area dependent on freight flow.
- Route A: Pittsburgh Area to Columbus, OH Area (Round Trip)
- Route B: Pittsburgh Area to Harrisburg, PA Area (Round Trip)

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strict compliance with all federal, state, and local DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or damage immediately.
- Act as the primary professional interface at cross-docking locations or swap points.
- Maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
Job Qualifications
- License: Valid Class A CDL with a Doubles Endorsement (Required)
- Experience: 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Driving Record: Clean MVR (no more than 2 moving violations or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years).
- Screening: Must be willing to submit to a standard background investigation (employment, education, and criminal history verification) and a DOT drug screening.
- Professionalism: A strong commitment to safety, reliability, and cooperative teamwork.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely, frequently, and easily enter and exit commercial day cabs.
- Standard physical capabilities required to legally and safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (including adequate vision, hearing, depth perception, and spatial awareness).
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and handle equipment (such as dolly handles and trailer hand cranks) as required for standard commercial transport operations
