General Manager – Direct-to-Consumer E-Commerce & Operations

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day management of our business and help drive the company's next phase of growth.
Reporting directly to the Owner & CEO, this executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing e-commerce, digital marketing, operations, analytics, financial performance, technology, customer service, and strategic initiatives. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys building businesses, solving problems, and driving measurable results.

Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the company.
- Oversee our Direct-to-Consumer e-commerce business using Shopify.
- Analyze business performance using Google Analytics 4, Shopify, Looker Studio, and KPI dashboards.
- Manage Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, Klaviyo, SEO, affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, email, SMS, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Work directly with outside marketing agencies while holding them accountable for performance and ROI.
- Be hands-on enough with digital marketing to identify opportunities, ask the right questions, and improve results.
- Manage budgets, monitor profitability, and review key financial metrics.
- Review financial statements, cash flow, and operating performance.
- Build executive dashboards and reporting systems.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and manage strategic partnerships.
- Oversee developers, technology vendors, freelancers, and outside consultants.
- Lead customer service, operations, and fulfillment initiatives to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop employees while building a high-performance culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
- Partner directly with the Owner & CEO on strategic planning and execution.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Direct-to-Consumer e-commerce.
- Experience managing a Shopify-based business strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
- Hands-on experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, Google Analytics 4, Shopify, Klaviyo, SEO, CRO, and digital marketing.
- Experience managing marketing agencies and technology vendors.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and business KPIs.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building and growing businesses.
- Experience in consumer products, premium food, retail, or subscription e-commerce is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
During your first 12 months, you will:
- Increase revenue and profitability.
- Improve website conversion and customer acquisition performance.
- Increase return on advertising spend (ROAS).
- Build executive KPI dashboards and reporting.
- Improve operational efficiency.
- Strengthen relationships with agencies, vendors, and strategic partners.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team.
- Help position the company for its next phase of growth.
