JOB SUMMARY:
The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating a forklift to transport raw materials, finished products, and other items safely and efficiently throughout the peanut processing facility. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining production flow, inventory accuracy, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate has experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing setting and a strong commitment to safety.

Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, Load, and unload materials.

Transport raw peanuts, finished products, and packaging materials between storage and production areas.

Ensure the safe and efficient stacking and storage of materials in designated areas.

Conduct pre-operation inspections and perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts.

Follow all workplace safety guidelines and forklift operating procedures.

Assist with inventory management by scanning, labeling, and recording material movements.

Support warehouse and production teams in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or material shortages to the supervisor.

Adhere to food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and company policies.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

High school diploma or GED required.

Valid forklift operator certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or food processing environment preferred.

Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems is a plus.

Strong attention to safety and ability to follow procedures.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Basic math and record-keeping skills.
