GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE:
The Global Mobility Specialist is responsible for the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of Loram's global mobility programs, including international assignments, relocations, immigration support, tax coordination, and cross-border compliance activities. The role serves as the primary point of contact for internationally mobile employees and coordinates with Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, and external service providers to ensure compliant and effective assignment administration.
The position develops and maintains mobility processes, documentation, and operational controls; manages mobility vendors; identifies compliance risks; and provides recommendations to support the effective management of Loram's globally mobile workforce.
This position plays an integral role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of global mobility services in alignment with Loram's ICARE values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Serve as the primary coordinator for international assignments, relocations, commuter arrangements, business travelers, and other cross-border work activities.

Coordinate immigration, tax, relocation, payroll, and compliance activities associated with internationally mobile employees.

Partner with employees, managers, Human Resources, Finance, Payroll, Tax, Legal, and external service providers to ensure successful assignment planning, implementation, and ongoing administration.

Manage relationships with immigration, tax, relocation, and mobility vendors to ensure effective service delivery and compliance with established requirements.

Develop, document, maintain, and continuously improve global mobility procedures, workflows, tracking mechanisms, and administrative practices.

Support the development and ongoing refinement of global mobility policies, guidelines, and program documentation, including recommendations for process improvements and compliance controls.

Identify cross-border employment, payroll, tax, immigration, and compliance risks and recommend corrective actions to management.

Coordinate tax equalization, hypothetical tax, payroll reporting, shadow payroll, and other mobility-related payroll activities in partnership with Payroll, Finance, and external advisors.

Maintain assignment records, compliance documentation, reporting, and tracking processes to support audit readiness and risk management.

Monitor changes in immigration, tax, employment, and mobility regulations and recommend updates to processes, policies, and practices as necessary.

Develop employee and manager communications, educational materials, and guidance related to international assignments and mobility requirements.

Prepare analyses, reports, and recommendations related to mobility activity, compliance risks, vendor performance, assignment costs, and program effectiveness..
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience:
-
5+ years of experience in global mobility, international human resources, expatriate administration, immigration, tax coordination, payroll, or related disciplines.

Experience supporting international assignments and employee mobility programs.

Experience coordinating with external advisors, including immigration, tax, relocation, or global mobility providers.

Experience developing procedures, documentation, workflows, or operational processes.

Experience managing multiple complex assignments and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of global mobility practices, international assignments, relocation programs, and cross-border workforce administration.

Working knowledge of immigration, employment authorization, tax, payroll, and compliance considerations associated with international assignments.

Ability to identify compliance risks and recommend practical solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) certification.
-
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.

Experience supporting multi-country employee populations.
-
Experience with Dayforce or similar HRIS platforms.
-
Experience working within transportation, industrial, manufacturing, construction, engineering, or field-based workforce environments.
