Our Cafe Associates are the face of Googans and an important part of keeping our busy breakfast and lunch operation running smoothly. This is an active, hands-on position that combines customer service, food & coffee service, and organization with teamwork.
Restaurant experience is NOT required. We're much more interested in finding people with a great work ethic, personality, reliability, and willingness to learn.
What You'll Do:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, genuine way
- Take orders and operate the point-of-sale system (Toast)
- Prepare coffee and other beverages
- Package bakery items, prepared foods, sandwiches and takeout orders
- Restock products and maintain displays
- Assist the kitchen and bakery team as needed
- Keep customer and service areas clean and organized
- Help with opening, closing and daily side work
- Learn our products so you can confidently help customers
- Jump in wherever needed to keep service moving
Who Does Well Here:
You don't need to be a restaurant veteran. You DO need to be someone who:
- Shows up when you're scheduled
- Likes being busy rather than watching the clock
- Is comfortable talking to customers and asking questions
- Notices what needs to be done and takes initiative to do it
- Can take direction and learn quickly
- Works well as part of a small team
- Takes pride in keeping things clean and organized
- Brings a positive, professional attitude to work
Experience in cafés, restaurants, retail, hospitality or customer service is helpful, but we're happy to train the right person.
