Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Unarmed Security Officer to join our team, primarily working day shifts. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by actively monitoring premises, managing access control, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your ability to remain alert during night operations and handle situations professionally will be critical in protecting personnel, property, and assets.
Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas regularly during overnight hours to ensure safety and security of all personnel and property
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to detect suspicious activity or potential threats
- Control access points by verifying identification, issuing passes, and maintaining accurate visitor logs
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies with appropriate action and clear communication
- Utilize conflict management and de-escalation techniques to handle tense situations effectively
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary until emergency services arrive
- Collaborate with law enforcement when incidents require external response or investigation
- Conduct routine inspections and security checks to prevent theft, vandalism, or safety hazards
- Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
Qualifications & Standards
- Minimum of 4 years of continuous experience in security, military, or law enforcement roles
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check in accordance with Local/State Police and federal requirements
- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance
- Ability to pass a physical fitness test and meet the physical demands of the role
- Strong situational awareness and ability to remain alert during extended night hours
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR preferred
- Experience with surveillance systems, access control, and standard security protocols preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear, detailed reports
Work Schedule
- Primarily Day shifts
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Pay: $19.50 - $24.00 per hour
