Maintenance Technician
Position: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Joyalways-129 S Technology Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday (with flexibility as needed for startup operations)
Compensation: From $28-$31hr

We are a fast‑growing wet wipe manufacturer dedicated to producing high‑quality consumer and industrial wipe products. Our facility operates high‑speed converting, packaging, and mixing equipment, and we rely on a skilled maintenance team to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment, facility systems, and supporting utilities. This role ensures maximum uptime, product quality, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards required in wet wipe manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

Perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting on converting lines, packaging machines, mixers, pumps, conveyors, and related equipment.

Conduct preventive maintenance (PMs) on motors, bearings, gearboxes, sensors, PLC‑controlled equipment, and facility systems.

Diagnose and repair issues with:

Web handling systems

Tension controls
-
Cutting assemblies
-
Liquid dosing and saturation systems

Heat sealers and wrappers
-
Maintain and repair building systems including HVAC, compressed air, water supply, and electrical distribution.

Document all maintenance activities in CMMS or maintenance logs.

Support equipment changeovers, line startups, and continuous improvement projects.

Collaborate with production supervisors to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation guidelines required in a hygiene‑product manufacturing environment.

Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Qualifications
-
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; manufacturing environment preferred.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

Experience with PLCs, sensors, VFDs, and automated equipment (Allen‑Bradley preferred).

Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus.

Knowledge of wet wipe or paper converting equipment is highly desirable.

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a fast‑paced production environment.

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work at heights or in tight spaces.

Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Work safely around energized equipment following lockout/tagout and electrical safety protocols.
