Position Overview
As the Center Director, you will oversee the daily operations of a Willowbrae Academy location, leading a team of educators and support staff while maintaining the highest standards of safety, education, and customer service. You’ll be the face of the Academy—managing enrollment, team development, compliance, family communication, and overall campus performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Establish and maintain a strong, inclusive, and mission-driven center culture.
- Model and foster a warm, professional, and collaborative team environment.
- Lead and coach staff to deliver our high-quality early learning programs.
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with all state and local childcare licensing regulations.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
- Effectively manage the center’s budget, scheduling, operational systems, and daily logistics.
Enrollment & Family Engagement
- Drive enrollment growth by conducting tours, managing inquiries, and converting leads.
- Foster meaningful relationships with families through consistent communication and support.
- Plan and host community events, open houses, and parent information sessions.
Staff Development & Supervision
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified and passionate educators and support staff.
- Provide ongoing coaching, evaluations, and professional development.
- Create staffing plans and ensure classroom ratios and quality standards are met.
Qualifications
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Director in a large childcare center or related experience
- Licensed/Certified as a Large Center Director (up to date)
- Strong knowledge of licensing standards, curriculum frameworks, and child development.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (up to date)
- Clear background check and child abuse registry.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary $65,000 - $72,000 (exact range to be determined based on experience and qualifications)
