Seeking a highly organized and detailed-oriented Family Law paralegal to join our team. As a Matrimonial & Family Law Paralegal, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in handling Divorce & Family Law cases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in law and administrative skills to contribute to our firm’s success.
Duties will include:
- Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information for cases.
- Assisting attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
- File legal documents with the Court and maintain case files.
- Organize and manage client files, including correspondence and other important documents.
- Schedule meetings, hearings, and depositions.
- Interview clients to gather necessary information for case preparation.
- Assist in preparing for trials and hearings by organizing exhibits and other supporting materials.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
Requirements include:
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with a focus on Matrimonial & Family Law.
- Strong knowledge of Divorce & Family Law procedures and regulations.
- Proficiency in legal drafting and research using tools such as Westlaw or iManage.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Bill clients and assist as needed on collections.
