Job Summary
Nephrology Associates is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across clinic, dialysis centers, and hospital settings. This role offers a strong balance of autonomy and physician collaboration, managing patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
Key Responsibilities

NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS!

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients under established clinical protocols

Order, interpret, and follow up on labs and diagnostic tests

Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
-
Educate patients and families on CKD, ESRD, and treatment options
-
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
Dialysis Responsibilities:

Manage hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients
-
Treat ESRD-related complications (anemia, hypertension, electrolyte imbalance, bone disease)

Participate in monthly care plan meetings
-
Support dialysis staff and ensure continuity of care
Clinic & Hospital Responsibilities:

Manage CKD patients (Stages 1–5) with a focus on slowing disease progression

Provide inpatient support for nephrology patients
-
Coordinate care with external providers and facilities
Qualifications
-
Licensed, Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Tennessee (or eligible)

Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program, Master's or above Educational Level

Current National Certification: AANP/ANCC/FNP

BLS or ACLS certification required

1+ year of clinical experience preferred (nephrology experience a plus)

If Prescribing Drugs, DEA Certification is required.
