American Traveler is seeking an Operating Room RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of OR experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM)
-
Weekday scheduled shifts are 10 hours with weekday night call shifts of 8 hours (11:00 PM-7:00 AM)

Weekend scheduled and call shifts range from 10-12 hours
-
Up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule

Patient ratio of 1:1

Epic charting system required
-
Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital may be required
-
Active RN license required
-
Oregon RN license not required at submission (pending accepted), but Oregon CNA license must be in hand
-
BLS required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
-
Prior charge nurse experience preferred
-
Level I or Level II trauma hospital OR experience preferred
-
Epic charting experience required

First-time travelers welcome to apply with robust OR RN experience at a Level I or II hospital

Perform circulating and scrub duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including vascular, gynecology, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, neurology, and trauma procedures
-
Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako preferred
-
Familiarity with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Steris equipment
-
Knowledge of infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol (time out) procedures required
-
Emergency management skills including code response, fire safety, and malignant hyperthermia protocols

Facility prefers to book candidates 3-4 weeks out from the current date
-
RTO must be finalized at time of submission; additional RTO requests after submission may result in removal from consideration or contract cancellation

Block scheduling is not accommodated

Former permanent employees of the health system are ineligible to apply for six months after their termination date
