About the Role
As a Fire Protection Systems Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and operational integrity of fire detection and suppression infrastructure. You will be responsible for the proactive maintenance, precise troubleshooting, and expert repair of complex alarm systems, directly contributing to the protection of personnel and property.
Responsibilities-
Execute comprehensive inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and suppression systems in strict alignment with NFPA standards and manufacturer guidelines.

Diagnose system malfunctions by interpreting complex wiring diagrams and schematics to implement effective corrective actions.

Perform routine testing of initiating circuits, signal devices, and transmitters to ensure 100% system reliability.

Manage the lifecycle of suppression system components, including pressure gauge monitoring and the replacement of defective hardware.

Collaborate with facility teams to plan installations and coordinate material requirements for ongoing maintenance projects.

Maintain accurate documentation of system performance and inventory levels to ensure operational readiness.

Provide technical expertise to support site-wide safety initiatives and assist other trade groups in resolving facility-related issues.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in fire alarm maintenance or electrical systems.

Current NICET II Certification.

Proven proficiency in troubleshooting addressable fire alarm and suppression control panels.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass all required background and drug screenings.

In-depth knowledge of solid-state and conventional control circuitry.

Prior experience working within government or military base operations.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in diverse environmental conditions.
