Position
SAS has openings for Finish and Adhesive Technician Trainee
Job Responsibilities
-
Work with chemicals /adhesives daily.
-
Learn and teach others how to apply, mix, and use the material and chemicals used.

Work with solvent and water-base material.
-
Learn the use of different adhesives/chemicals for shoe application, upper and sole application.

Learn technical skills in shoe manufacturing.
-
Travel to Acuna Mexico when necessary.

Ability to multi-task handling several jobs, while working independently or with a team.

Meet or exceed expectations in all PDQCS categories.

Highly motivated and able to follow instructions.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to explain concepts in a patient and organized manner while always listening to determine issues.

Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word & Excel (Spreadsheets), Outlook, etc.

Must have absolute ability to exercise confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
-
Physical labor is necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, talking, hearing and engaging in repetitive motions.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. pail when necessary.

Must be able to pull and push racks with wheels that weigh 11 lbs.

Must be able to work with Hazardous and Non-Hazardous materials using proper protective equipment (safety glasses, latex gloves etc.). Using respirator if necessary

Excellent vision to inspect the quality of their work.
Education & Experience Requirements:
-
Experience in shoemaking/manufacturing and production facilities.

A strong interest or passion for Manufacturing and long term development in the Shoe Manufacturing industry.
