Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts in compliance with safety protocols.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using RF scanners, order pickers, and inventory management software to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts and data entry into warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms.
- Coordinate shipping logistics by preparing shipping documents, verifying trade compliance with international trade regulations, and scheduling pickups with carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by stocking shelves properly, labeling items clearly, and adhering to safety standards.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by loading and unloading trucks efficiently while ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory calculations, order fulfillment accuracy, and data entry tasks to support seamless warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, Microsoft Office applications, and RF scanners is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred), reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail for accurate order picking, packing, and inventory control.
- Basic math skills necessary for counting stock, calculating quantities, and processing data entries accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service when interacting with team members or external partners.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items safely, and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
