Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise
- Assist with customers’ orders by loading and unloading products as needed
- Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse
- Assemble products and displays
- Deliver products to customer delivery points
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities
- Dispense propane and kerosene
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes, and continuously develop skills
- Collaborate, communicate well, and effectively relay information with an emphasis on positive professional relationships
- Practice punctual and reliable attendance
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintain a safe and insurable driving record
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
- Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60 pounds
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proven track record of being dependable and reliable
- Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Product knowledge in one or more of: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden, or wild bird supplies
Schedule
Part-time, in-person position, 28–32 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
