Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across diverse property types. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety standards are met or exceeded. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing fixtures.
- Install new HVAC equipment following schematics and HVAC design specifications while ensuring compliance with safety codes and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to accurately service equipment.
- Conduct repairs on refrigeration systems using specialized tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; manage ammonia refrigeration systems when required.
- Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, parts used, and system conditions for each job.
- Collaborate with property management teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and respond promptly to emergency service requests.
Experience
- Proven field service experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction-related projects.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliance repair.
- Mechanical aptitude with skills in welding, equipment repair, plumbing, and property maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience working with property management teams or commercial clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred.
- Additional skills such as welding certifications or boiler operation experience are advantageous but not mandatory.
