Job Summary
Serves as receptionist for a busy region office. This position plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers with license sales, providing accurate information regarding hunting, wildlife management, and nuisance wildlife concerns, and supporting the daily operations of the regional office. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to maintaining a high level of professionalism while managing multiple responsibilities.
Duties
- Welcome and assist walk-in customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Process hunting and fishing license sales and provide general customer assistance
- Answer routine phone calls regarding nuisance wildlife, hunting regulations, quota hunts, wildlife management areas, and other agency programs
- Provide accurate, solution-oriented information and educates the public on nuisance wildlife management and available resources
- Maintain current knowledge of wildlife regulations, agency policies, and nuisance wildlife issues to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Prepare and maintain administrative records, reports, vehicle logs, and other office records
- Process payment vouchers
- Coordinate wildlife nuisance and falconry testing
- Maintain office filing systems
- Receive, distribute, and process incoming mail and packages
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office administration or clerical roles with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent phone communication skills coupled with proper phone etiquette.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently.
- Prior experience with office duties is advantageous but not mandatory.
Pay: $12.00 per hour
