Duties
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
- Clear and bus tables promptly to maintain a clean dining area
- Operate dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to kitchen health and safety standards
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including floors, sinks, and storage spaces
- Support food handling procedures by ensuring all items are stored correctly and sanitized before use
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food safety management and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Basic knife skills or experience with operating kitchen equipment is advantageous
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions accurately and maintain a positive attitude
