At the Terrie Hess Child Advocacy Center, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to heal after trauma. Through our Robin's Loft Youth Mental Health Center, we provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to children and adolescents experiencing the effects of abuse, neglect, violence, grief, anxiety, depression, and other traumatic experiences.
We are seeking a Contract Licensed Mental Health Therapist who shares our commitment to providing exceptional care in a collaborative, child-centered environment. Position Details
- Independent Contractor (1099)
- Competitive per-session reimbursement based on licensure and experience
- Flexible schedule with the ability to choose your own availability
- Daytime, evening, and weekend appointments available, but not required
- Beautiful private offices located at Robin's Loft Youth Mental Health Center in Salisbury, NC
- Steady referrals provided through the Child Advocacy Center, local pediatric practices, schools, and community partners
- Administrative support including scheduling, billing, and electronic documentation through SimplePractice
What You'll Do
- Provide trauma-informed outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and their families.
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to each child's developmental and emotional needs.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in our electronic health record.
- Collaborate with Child Advocacy Center staff and multidisciplinary professionals when appropriate to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in case consultation and maintain the highest standards of ethical and professional practice.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current North Carolina licensure as one of the following:
- LCMHC
- LCMHC-A (with approved supervision)
- LCSW
- LCSW-A (with approved supervision)
- LMFT
- LMFT-A (with approved supervision)
- Licensed Psychologist
- Experience providing therapy to children and adolescents.
- Strong assessment, communication, and clinical documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Experience working with children who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect, or violence.
- Training or certification in evidence-based trauma treatment, including:
- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)
- EMDR
- AF-CBT
- PSB-CBT
- Written Exposure Therapy (WET)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
