Gully Animal Hospital of Grand Prairie is a privately-owned practice that offers a full range of services including preventive medicine, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and orthopedic surgery as well as boarding. We’re equipped with in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasound. Our culture is one of collaboration, humor, and deep compassion for both pets and people.
Multi-tasking, drive, and a strong passion for our patients and their care are a must. People skills as well as a sense of humor are essential!
Veterinary Receptionist Duties Include:
- Greeting clients and managing check-ins/check-outs
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Managing communications via phone, text, email, and online pharmacy platforms
Veterinary Technician Responsibilities Include:
- Safe and effective patient restraint
- Obtaining patient vitals and samples (blood, stool, ear cytology, etc.)
- Running in-house diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, X-rays, cytology, etc.)
- Patient care (hospitalized patients, anesthesia monitoring, post-op care)
- Exam room prep (obtaining patient history from clients, drawing up and administering vaccines and medications, filling prescriptions, nail trims, anal gland expression, etc.)
Kennel Attendant/Vet Tech Assistant Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily care for boarding pets, including feeding, walking, bathing, and monitoring their well-being
- Maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable kennels and yard areas
- Assisting veterinary staff with patient handling and general care as needed
- Observing and reporting any changes in behavior, appetite, or health to the medical team
- Making our clients and patients happy by treating every animal as if they were your own!
(Hourly rates vary depending on department as well as experience)
