Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodeling to commercial builds, utilizing your craftsmanship and hands-on expertise. As a key contributor, you will assist in constructing, repairing, and restoring structures while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for framing, trim carpentry, siding, fixture installation, and other carpentry tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting and physical labor necessary for concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, retaining walls and patios.
- Install various fixtures such as doors, cabinets, molding, flooring, tile, and siding while adhering to safety protocols like power tool safety practices.
- Support restoration projects by performing tasks such as water damage repair, plastering, caulking, and general handyman services.
- Interpret construction plans and schematics accurately to ensure precise execution of all tasks on-site while maintaining a safe working environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry, framing,masonry, and finishing trades.
- Experience in construction site operations including heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, safety procedures (especially power tool safety), and site cleanup.
- Familiarity with various construction techniques such as woodworking, metal stud framing, rebar installation, tile laying, flooring installation.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into tangible structures or restorations.
- Excellent physical stamina for demanding tasks like heavy lifting; capable of working in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
