Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and knives
- Follow food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
- Assist with meal preparation, portioning, and plating to ensure timely service
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and meet service deadlines
- Maintain accurate food handling procedures and adhere to dietary guidelines
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards, including safety management and sanitation practices
- Skilled in culinary techniques such as slicing, knife skills, and recipe adherence
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations
- Background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
