Core Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–7 years of technical sales or business development experience within military, aerospace, or defense markets
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience supporting military or defense OEMs and government agencies
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to support customer applications and product integration discussions
The successful candidate will drive strategic growth across military, aerospace, and defense markets. This role is responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and securing profitable long-term programs. The Business Development Director will serve as a strategic commercial leader, partnering cross-functionally to support customer requirements, expand market presence, and deliver sustained revenue growth within highly technical and regulated industries.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives to drive revenue growth across assigned markets and accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue new program opportunities, including new product introductions and retrofit opportunities.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals in response to customer RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
- Manage key account performance, including delivery, quality, forecasting, and contract-related activities.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and commercial teams to support customer requirements and long-term business growth.
