Sierra Desert Transportation for 1836 Farms, a family-owned and operated dairy, is currently seeking a Local Houston-based Class A DSD Driver to join our team. As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for distributing our organic dairy products to various retail locations in the local Houston area via a box truck. This position offers daily local routes, ensuring that drivers are able to be home nightly. The start time for this role is very early, typically between 2:00 AM and 4:00 AM. End time is normally between 12 pm and 3 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize Class A and Class B equipment to make direct store deliveries to Kroger, Sprouts, HEB, and Whole Foods grocery stores.
- Use a tablet and printer to enter sales invoices and credits for the stores.
- Check in deliveries and check out credits with the store receiver.
- Drop the product in the dairy cooler and rotate any remaining stock on top of the current delivery.
- Down stack delivery pallets at designated stores, as required.
- Gather credits, including expired product and empty glass bottles, from the dairy cooler or other designated locations for return.
- Perform product merchandising, as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL license.
- Willingness to travel and help other regions is a plus.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings.
- Direct Store Delivery (DSD) experience is preferred.
