POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the Director of Education in managing the center’s classrooms and curriculum implementation. This position is also responsible for assisting management in coordinating services of the program and maintaining a positive and safe learning environment for the children served. Above all else, the Assistant Director will uphold the Vision, Mission, Core Values and Circle of Care philosophy of Lightbridge Academy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Assistant Director, you will:
- Create strong relationships resulting in a high retention rate and referrals from staff, parents, and the community.
- Assist in the classrooms for up to 50% of the work week.
- Assist in achieving center occupancy goals by providing center tours and following the Lightbridge enrollment process.
- Provide a WOW customer experience to all in our Circle of Care.
- Build community relationships and enrollment through participation in local area marketing and execution of open houses and other marketing.
- Support a nurturing and positive learning environment encouraging children and staff to grow and develop.
- Foster a “learning is fun" environment by implementing the Lightbridge Academy program and Seedlings curriculum.
- Uphold discretion in dealing with all confidential matters and information.
- Maintain proper ratios and substitute in classrooms if necessary.
- Support all team members by example and provide mentoring and coaching.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children and staff members.
- Observe all Lightbridge Academy policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations.
- Support regularly scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
- Complete a minimum of 20 hours of ongoing professional development annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in early childcare education or a related field
- Minimum of one (2) years of classroom experience in a licensed childcare center.
- Maintain continuing education requirements per company and state requirements
