About Us: Malnove Inc., a family-owned, nationwide folding carton manufacturer, seeks a Finishing Material Handler worker for its Jacksonville, FL facility. We have been part of the packaging community for over 75 years and in that time we have become an essential part of America’s supply chain. The recent development of COVID-19 has increased the demand for consumer goods and the need for folding cartons.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure that inventory levels of corrugated supplies are maintained at appropriate levels by
- Keeping a log of all corrugated purchase order and logging incoming corrugated supplies, verifying accuracy of incoming corrugated to purchase order, retaining copies of invoices, and maintaining accurate records of corrugated on hand in inventory control books.
- Notifying Production Planner of shortages of incoming and on hand corrugated supplies.
- Monitoring daily run schedules periodically throughout the day for changes and updates of jobs.
- Checking the finishing department production board daily for current running jobs and the next day’s corrugated needs; computing amount of corrugated needed for each job.
- Checking on hand corrugated amounts against running and scheduled jobs and reviewing open purchase orders to release needed balances from corrugated suppliers as needed.
- Recording damaged, obsolete, and disposed corrugated and reporting to data processing weekly for removal from computer inventory records.
- Conducting quarterly corrugated inventory and updating inventory control books as needed.
- Distribute corrugated cartons safely, efficiently and timely by
o Monitoring daily run schedules for current jobs and checking corrugated for each job to include pads, liners, and dividers.
o Ensuring that proper amounts of corrugated are placed on machines or staging areas as required for factory orders for all finishing shifts.
o Locating corrugated cases for House Orders scheduled for finishing that are not assigned during house order meetings.
o Remove left over corrugated boxes and pads after finishing crews have stacked, and place into storage areas.
o Place skids and boxes for window film into storage racks.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, food safety, OSHA, etc. to ensure a safe, secure working environment that meets the company’s goals and achieves customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience using forklift and tow motor
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Able to use a computer
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to read and write English
- Mathematics ability
Warehouse - Production Worker Shifts / Availability:
- 2nd Shift, 3:00pm - 11:00pm
Warehouse - Production Worker Compensation / Benefits:
· $19.00 - 21.00/hour plus overtime and Differentials
