JOB TITLE: Inspector
REPORTS TO: Director of Quality
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- Responsible for identifying (marking) each item of measuring equipment in a calibration system and maintaining a log of calibrated items.
- Perform gage control and calibrations to company and employee-owned tools.
- Inspection of all materials received. Purchased, Fabricated, Machined, Welded, Painted, or Assembled.
- Must be able to work from Blueprints, Drawings, Patterns, Templates, Specifications and Verbal Instructions.
- Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Utilize of shop math skills including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Maintain traceability and transfer of traceability and identification information.
- Complete inspection records and reports.
- Must Keep Area in a Safe and Clean Condition.
- Notifies supervisor of discrepancies or other production or quality issues.
- Responsible for the maintenance and transfer of traceability and identification information.
WORK / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with ISO9001 Requirements
- Must be able to read English and follow verbal instructions.
- Must be U.S. citizen or legal resident.
- Must have High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Office. (Excel, Word, Access)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Metal Fabrication, Machining, Welding.
- Experience with (CMM) coordinate measuring machine operation.
