JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of routine transportation tasks to facilitate the delivery of products, supplies and custom orders between the bakery, retail locations and special event venues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operates company-owned and/or leased vehicles for the delivery, pick-up and relocation of bakery products and other supplies/materials.
- Plans daily deliveries by organizing loads and routing.
- Performs required before-, during-, and after-operation ?user maintenance?; provides required receipts and reports.
- Ensures outstanding guest service by delivering exemplary customer service during delivery operations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (including required licenses or certifications)
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to successfully obtain/maintain CDL license.
- 1 or more year(s) as a delivery driver is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Ability to develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other employees.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal/external customers.
- Strong organizational skills for the performance of a variety of administrative duties. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS
This job operates in outside weather conditions, with exposure to extreme heat, wet and humid conditions, as well as extreme cold weather.
