Experienced Two-Component Spray Foam Crew Leader
B. Alpha Construction is hiring an experienced Spray Foam Crew Leader who can independently operate a high-pressure, two-component spray foam rig and lead a crew from setup through job completion.
This is a spray polyurethane foam insulation position, not a painting or general coating-sprayer position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a spray foam insulation crew
- Install open-cell and closed-cell spray polyurethane foam
- Operate a Graco Reactor or comparable plural-component proportioner
- Set up and operate transfer pumps, heated hoses, spray guns, compressors, and spray rigs
- Monitor temperatures, pressures, chemical balance, foam quality, thickness, and yield
- Recognize and correct off-ratio foam and equipment issues
- Read scopes, plans, and project specifications
- Maintain production, quality control, and jobsite safety
- Track materials and daily job progress
- Keep the spray rig, equipment, truck, and work area clean and organized
- Complete commercial, multi-family, and residential projects
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on, high-pressure spray foam insulation experience
- Experience spraying both open-cell and closed-cell foam
- Proven ability to independently operate and troubleshoot a two-component spray foam rig
- Experience leading crews and running jobs without constant supervision
- Knowledge of A-side and B-side materials, proportioners, heated hoses, and spray guns
- Valid driver’s license and ability to tow a spray foam trailer
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to lead by example
- Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, lifts, and active construction sites
Preferred
- SPFA or manufacturer training
- OSHA certification
- Commercial or prevailing-wage experience
- Experience applying ignition or thermal-barrier coatings
Operating Area
Based in Western Massachusetts, with projects throughout Massachusetts and Connecticut. Travel to job sites is required.
Compensation
Competitive pay based on experience and proven ability. We are willing to adjust compensation for the right crew leader who can operate the equipment, manage the crew, and consistently complete high-quality work.

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
