Responsibilities
- Support lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lessons across subjects such as literacy, math, and social-emotional skills.
- Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Engage children in activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction, including toddler care and Montessori-based approaches.
- Help monitor individual needs of children, including those with disabilities or special education requirements such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Maintain clear communication with teachers about student progress and behavioral observations to support tailored educational strategies.
- Support daily routines such as snack time, nap time, and outdoor play while encouraging independence and positive behavior management.
- Contribute to curriculum development efforts by assisting in lesson planning and activity setup aligned with early childhood education standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or educational support roles is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom management assistance and experience with classroom experience or teaching young children.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, including behavior management techniques and curriculum development strategies.
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals with autism or disabilities.
- Experience collaborating with teachers and supporting classroom activities within private or school settings is advantageous.
- Technical proficiency in educational tools or software used for lesson planning or student tracking is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members in a professional manner.
