Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble components according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Cook a variety of dishes with precision, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met
- Follow food safety protocols and safety standards in all aspects of food handling and production
- Assist with meal preparation for daily service, catering events, or special functions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work stations, including proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supply needs
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant, catering, or dietary departments
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and handling procedures
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and menu planning is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling techniques
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests professionally
