Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Supervisor to lead daily operations at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will oversee production processes, ensure safety compliance, and coordinate a team of skilled workers to deliver high-quality, laser cut products. Your expertise in equipment operation, fabrication, and machine maintenance will drive efficiency and uphold our commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily plant activities, which include tube and flat lasers, saws, and press brakes tube and flat labor operations to meet production targets.
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring all machinery functions optimally.
- Enforce strict safety protocols in accordance with industry standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints using Solidworks software to guide manufacturing tasks.
- Coordinate with team members on machine adjustments and schedules.
- Manage warehouse inventory of hand tools, power tools, raw materials, and finished products; ensure proper storage and handling.
- Facilitate communication between departments and facilities to streamline workflow and improve overall plant productivity.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing roles with a focus on plant supervision or leadership.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with firsthand experience in machining, welding, laser operation, and equipment maintenance.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for fabrication projects.
- Prior experience with production management and ERP systems.
- Prior experience involving set-up and operation of tube and flat lasers.
- Excellent basic math skills for measurements and blueprint interpretation.
