Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods efficiently.
- Develop and suggest beverage recipes, including signature cocktails, to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
- Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies as needed while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to support banquet and catering services, ensuring seamless service during special events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender in a hospitality or restaurant setting, preferably with fine dining or hotel experience.
- Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer brewing processes, and beverage recipe development.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle challenging situations professionally.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods while maintaining high-quality service.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
