Hours Part-time 6.30am-1.00pm and 11am-4.30pm
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barista who takes pride in crafting high-quality espresso drinks and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate appreciates specialty coffee, understands espresso extraction and milk steaming, and enjoys creating a welcoming café environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, specialty coffee beverages, tea, and café drinks
- Operate and maintain commercial espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment
- Ensure proper espresso extraction, milk texturing, and drink presentation
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service and create a welcoming café experience
- Take orders and process payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and service area
- Assist with light food service including pastries, brunch items, and café dishes
- Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous barista or specialty coffee experience preferred
- Knowledge of espresso-based drinks, latte art, and milk steaming techniques
- Passion for coffee quality and consistency
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
