Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, skilled and experienced Heavy Wrecker Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing prompt and efficient towing services while ensuring the safety of vehicles and their occupants. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive and mechanical knowledge, as well as excellent conflict management skills to handle various situations on and off the roadway.
Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy duty wrecker, perform winch outs on various commercial vehicles and equipment
- Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring proper securing techniques are applied.
- Communicate effectively with customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including vehicle condition reports and service documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on provided equipment to ensure they are in safe, well working condition.
- Manage conflicts with customers or other drivers professionally and calmly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required; experience in commercial driving..
- Familiarity with various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations effectively.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and be on your feet for hours at a time.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
