Join the growing Passages Connecting Fathers and Families team as a Team Lead for our expanding service area that includes Lake and Ashtabula Counties! This position will be based out of both Painesville (Lake), as well as Ashtabula city (Ashtabula), and oversees programs that help fathers with high barriers to achieving a happy and healthy family life. The position will assist in staff supervision, managing case files and case management, facilitating parenting and life-skills workshops, and coordinating with local, community agencies including JFS and the justice system to help fathers meet support and self-sufficiency goals.
Core Responsibilities
- Staff Leadership: Supervise, train, and support a team of reentry specialists, peer mentors, and case managers.
- Case Management: Guide high-risk participants through individualized service plans focusing on employment, housing, and family reunification.
- Workshop Facilitation: Lead evidence-based curricula regarding cognitive behavioral life skills, fatherhood development, and substance-abuse prevention.
- Systems Navigation: Act as a liaison between participants, local courts, child support services, community support agencies, and parole officers to resolve legal and systemic barriers.
- Outreach & Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with community resources to provide a strong continuum of care.
Qualifications
- Preferred Experience: 3-5 years of experience in criminal justice reentry, social work, family support services, or related non-profit leadership.
- Lived Experience: Direct, lived experience with the justice system or family reunification is highly valued.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of experience).
- Skills: Strong conflict resolution, group facilitation, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care practices.
Additional Details
- Salary range for the position is $40,000 - $43,000
