The ideal candidate has experience designing electrical control panels, creating schematics and wiring diagrams, selecting components, and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bills of material for custom equipment and automated systems.

Utilize AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar design software to create and maintain electrical documentation.

Select and size electrical components including motors, drives, PLC hardware, sensors, safety devices, and network equipment.

Support the design and integration of industrial control systems for manufacturing and process automation applications.

Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, customer specifications, and safety requirements.

Collaborate with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, programmers, and project managers throughout the design process.

Review designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and ease of installation.

Assist with troubleshooting design-related issues during panel assembly, machine commissioning, and startup activities.

Maintain design standards, documentation, and revision controls throughout project execution.
Required
-
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Design, Automation Technology, or a related field.

Experience creating electrical schematics and control panel layouts.

Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software.

Understanding of industrial controls, PLC systems, motor controls, sensors, HMIs, and drive systems.

Knowledge of electrical safety standards and code requirements.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
