TARRA seeks an experienced, entrepreneurial Program Director to lead and grow our U.S. program portfolio. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced mission-driven environment and enjoys building programs, developing partnerships, and leading teams.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Lead the strategic direction and success of TAARA's U.S. programs, including school-based prevention initiatives and survivor empowerment services.
- Drive program growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee curriculum development and maintain final approval authority for curriculum updates.
- Ensure high-quality program delivery and measurable outcomes.
Survivor Empowerment Programs
- Support and strengthen TAARA's survivor-focused initiatives.
- Apply trauma-informed principles and best practices across program development and implementation.
Digital Education and Innovation
- Lead the development and expansion of TAARA's digital education products focused on AI-related threats and exploitation.
- Explore opportunities to leverage technology and AI to enhance mission impact.
Evaluation and Impact
- Partner with academic and evaluation experts to advance TAARA's evidence-building strategy.
- Support progress toward evidence-based designation and future peer-reviewed publication.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the Program Manager.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
External Relations
- Represent TAARA with funders, school districts, community partners, conferences, and board members.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions and strategic partners.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of progressively responsible program leadership experience.
- Demonstrated success growing and scaling programs.
- Experience in education, youth development, prevention programming, social services, survivor services, anti-trafficking, gender-based violence prevention, or related fields.
- Experience supervising staff and managing stakeholders.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Experience using data and evaluation to improve programs.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a growing organization.
Preferred
- Existing relationships with schools, districts, principals, or educational leaders.
- Experience developing curricula or educational content.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices.
- Experience launching or scaling digital products, online learning programs, or technology-enabled initiatives.
- Interest in leveraging AI and emerging technologies for social impact.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
