Inbound Call Center Representative – Logistics

Position Overview
VSSI Staffing is hiring an Inbound Call Center Representative for a fast-paced logistics operation. This phone-focused position assists customers with order status, delivery schedules, service requests, and general account questions.
The ideal candidate has previous call center or customer service experience and can communicate professionally while navigating multiple computer systems. Paid training on company programs and procedures will be provided.
Schedule Options
All schedules are Tuesday–Saturday:
- Option 1: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Option 2: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Option 3: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Essential Duties
- Answer a high volume of incoming customer calls
- Assist customers with order, shipment, and delivery questions
- Research order history and delivery status using internal systems
- Confirm delivery windows and provide accurate updates
- Enter notes, service requests, and account changes while speaking with customers
- Resolve routine concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary
- Coordinate with dispatch, transportation, warehouse, and management teams
- Maintain complete and accurate records of customer interactions
- Complete daily reports and administrative assignments
- Learn and follow established service procedures
- Participate in cross-training for additional responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or call center experience is preferred
- High-volume inbound calling experience is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette and active listening skills
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Ability to use multiple computer systems simultaneously
- Accurate typing, documentation, and data-entry skills
- Strong organization and multitasking abilities
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Experience
- Customer service experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or distribution
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
