Position Overview:
The CAD Drafter is a key role, responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, plans, and designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software or manual drafting techniques. The ideal candidate is a reliable, trustworthy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and autonomy are valued.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare project drawings for a variety of Geotechnical and Environmental projects, including, but not limited to, Geotechnical Explorations, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Soil and Groundwater Assessments, and Preliminary Contamination Assessments and/or Monitoring

Manage prepared drawings for active projects, and filing of prepared drawings for issued projects

Drafts designs utilizing computer-aided drafting systems to prepare drawings and designs.

Converses with engineers and other subject matter experts to interpret design concepts, determine nature and type of required detailed working drawings, and coordinate work with others.

Convert rough sketches and specifications into detailed drawings and plans

Perform calculations, measurements, and estimations to support the drafting process

Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in the preparation of drawings

Conduct quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and provide support during the construction phase.
