Palm Beach Trim is a premier manufacturer, supplier, and installer of custom millwork and cabinetry. With a long-standing reputation for craftsmanship and service, we partner with custom and estate homebuilders throughout Palm Beach County.
We are seeking a talented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting techniques and software, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate job estimates. This role is critical in supporting our project managers by transforming concepts into detailed plans and schematics.
In addition, the Millwork & Cabinetry Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates for cabinetry, architectural millwork, and related projects by reviewing drawings, specifications, and client requirements to develop bids, budgets, and proposals that align with sales and production goals.
Position Overview
The Estimator will oversee all drafting functions related to cabinetry and casework projects. Responsibilities include managing third-party vendors, reviewing and editing shop drawings, generating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring drawings are accurate, compliant, and approved by clients. While this is a leadership role, the successful candidate should also be capable of self-performing drafting and BOM creation when necessary.
This is an in-person position based at our main office.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the estimating/drafting department for cabinetry and casework projects.
· Oversee, coordinate, and review the work of third-party drafting vendors.
· Review and approve shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and client requirements.
· Submit and manage drawing approvals with clients, architects, and general contractors.
· Develop accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support fabrication and procurement.
· Collaborate with project management, estimating, purchasing, and production teams.
· Maintain project documentation within CRM/ERP systems.
· Manage select cabinetry-only projects as the primary contact from start to finish.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of cabinetry/millwork experience.
· Knowledge of Work Flow Processes.
· Strong knowledge of cabinetry fabrication methods, hardware, and installation practices.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and client-facing professionalism.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with high-end residential and commercial millwork.
· Ability to read and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
