Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Commercial Maintenance Technician to oversee and coordinate the maintenance, repair, and management of complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within commercial facilities. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, managing daily operations and ensuring adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC units, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and analyze equipment performance data for proactive management.
- Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by coordinating resources, timelines, and budgets while ensuring compliance with safety procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical and electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; diagnose issues accurately for prompt resolution.
- Develop and implement maintenance repair procedures aligned with industry best practices to optimize system longevity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and company policies; promote a culture of safety among team members through training and supervision.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, schematics, and safety documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or industrial maintenance teams in a commercial setting.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices, troubleshooting techniques, schematics interpretation, and engineering principles.
- Proficiency in using CMMS software, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel), and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA standards related to electrical work, high voltage safety procedures, and general facilities management protocols.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently while managing resources effectively.
- Excellent leadership qualities with supervisory experience managing facilities maintenance teams; capable of motivating staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting, documentation, and team collaboration.
